We are at a campsite in the motorhome just outside Weston Super Mare.
Tomorrow we head for Penzance where we then need to pack all our camping gear to take to the Isles of Scilly for 4 weeks camping! Everything has to be packed and then it gets loaded into a container and put on the Scillonian Ferry to take us to the Isles.
Quite a complicated system for us to manage as everything has gone into the boot of the motorhome so we are really loaded up.
I haven't done much crafting this week but had been busy creating silver flowers and name place cards for my parents Diamond wedding anniversary party.
The flowers were stamped with versamark onto embossed white paper and then sprinkled with silver embossing powder and heat set. I probably made about 150!
I made butterfly boxes to hold chocolates and also sprinkled diamond glass jewels on the table.
My nephews girlfriend made cupcakes and my sister organised flowers and balloons. The cake was from that well known high street store with some added embellishment.
It was a lovely family gathering.
I will take some stamps and watercolour pencils for the 4 weeks as I know I will want to do some sort of crafting while I am there.
The plan is to walk, swim and chill but I will need to keep the little grey cells working too!
I always take my counted cross stitch too as I tend to do that whilst on holiday, I have been stitching this one for about 4 years!
It is sunny today and we hope it stays fine for tomorrow while we get everything out of the boot of the van and pack it into about 6 bags for Thursday.
It will be an early start so we can get to the quayside before it gets too busy and then the van goes into its storage and we wait till the sailing time.
Looking forward to spending some brilliant time on St Martin's Island. Will post some pictures when we are there.

This is my attempt at making my own backing paper using a stamp from Glenda's course
I started a sketchbook so have added these segments. I really enjoyed making these and am inspired to look at using other stamps to design more.
I stamped with an Adirondak dye ink pad then used alcohol inks for the yellow one, watercolour pencils dry for the blue flowers and watercoloured the yellow and purple one.
I was delighted with the results and the purple and yellow one uses complimentary colours on the colour wheel.
The next assignment was to make serendipity paper which is here. I cut the paper into squares and backed each square and then placed them onto a backing of dark burgundy and the onto a plain card.
Time consuming but I really loved the technique.

Another Sunny Day!
Well today is a beautiful sunny day again and we are now in the motorhome as we have left the boat at PB Mechanicals in Adlington on the Leeds Liverpool Canal to have some adjustments made to our boat gear box.
We are staying on a CL campsite at Overwater Marina where we had our boat through the winter. It is a lovely spot in Cheshire and extremely quiet!
We have several activities in the next couple of weeks and a big family gathering as my parents celebrate 60 years of marriage. Quite an achievement!!
We are still trying to work out where to stash everything in the van!
Including a very limited amount of crafty stash!
I have recently followed 2 online card courses: 1) Glenda Waterworth of chocolatebaroque.com
card making design from mycreativeclassroom.com, which I thoroughly enjoyed and learnt a lot from.2) Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 Course from http://www.onlinecardclasses.com. which I am still working through. again, really instructive and enjoyable.
The top photo is our narrowboat Song of the Waterways and here I am sitting ion the saloon crafting! If you have very good eyesight you can see I have left the washing up in favour of doing some craft!!

Hi,
Well this is my new blog mainly to do with card making but will include other bits!
I still have some work to do to build my blog but I decided to take the plunge.
I am following My Creative Classroom for an online Card Design Course with Glenda Waterworth of Chocolate Baroque and have learnt so much in the 2 classes so far.
I am loving this course and seeing what the other participants do.
I have made cards mainly for family or friends for about 8 years and felt I needed some more inspiration!
Our first week on the course was looking at the colour wheel and creating a mood board. Here is my attempt. I started with a swatch of distress ink Tattered Rose and then found some plain paper, card that toned or contrasted with that. Then i looked for patterned paper which either had a similar colour or tone or contrast and then stuck the whole lot down. I did pay attention to where i wanted to place the pieces and I feel it has some order to it.
I am always drawn to turquoise teal colours but wouldn't normally go with the peachy (tattered rose is more peach than pink) pale pink colours.
This weeks course activities is to use a card sketch and re create a card design which I like so I will use this colour palette to create a card and post it when done!
We are moving our boat into Overwater Marina near Audlem today for a few days so we will have hook up electric (hooray) rather than having to run a generator or the engine!
Our daughter is coming for an overnight stay Sunday so it will be good to catch up with her.
